Chicken catching food

My Brahma, Boots, could catch treats in midair. I thought it was cool, but nobody I knew did, but they don’t have chickens. I was wondering if people who have chickens would appreciate it

Impressive! Did you have to train her to do that?

No, I just kind of started noticing that every time I would throw them treats she would catch them. I thought they were flukes, but I put her on the table to try it and she caught it every time.

That's a hoot. Some of mine are very good at grabbing insects in flight when they're young, but seem to lose the ability or the inclination to chase them when they become hens.

I'm so impressed with Boots, who is showing both talent and restraint!

When I have treats for my chickens, I get mobbed. There's no way any of them would wait patiently for a treat to leave my hand.
