Chicken Chariot Racing

Well a very dear friend of mine wants to enter her 3 year old son in a Chicken Chariot Race at a local festival. Well I have volunteered to help him with it. I have decided to use a standard game rooster as a horse for this event. But the chariot has me well... less than sure. Any of you ever done this or got any suggestions. I am really excited to help the lil guy with his and got tonnes of ideas running around my head.

My daughter has used a dog harness and hooked the chicken up to a toy horse trailer. Some chickens will accept this treatment others won't. I think a small wagon would work too. It may take a little time for the chicken to get used to pulling something.

Yes that link shows the races that we will be entering. It is in Smithville Ontario on June 26. I can't wait...............
