You'd be surprised just how quickly chickens make a mess out of the MINIMUM recommended space of 10 sq ft per chicken in the run. You should aim for more like 15 sq ft. And ideally you want a run with a solid roof, very well draining run litter and no standing water or the stench will be outrageous.
You also need to aim for 1 sq ft per bird of permanently open ventilation in the coop. Get everything right in the beginning and you won't be rebuilding, repairing and replacing all the time.

Hiiiiii! Before I posted anything I’ve seen your comments all over this site, thank you for the info!! We are going to make a roof on the run and I will jot down this info in my book of must haves! I will look into getting another to connect it to make it bigger, maybe even 2. We have a huge back yard, so plenty of space for it. If you don’t mind, I can send you everything I have pre-build to see if you have any more suggestions?! Thanks again!!

Pre-built kennel to use as a run? Please not a pre-built coop.
