Chicken chocking

My chicken is experiencing severe choking. I've examined its mouth, administered water and oil through a syringe, but it's still struggling. What further steps should I take?

Are you sure it's just not the bird doing that to push the food down? Chickens do that alot and looks like choking

Is there any action I can take? It's been around 30 minutes, and she's still experiencing distress.

If it was severely choking it would be dead, my guess it's pushing it's food down someone else might be able to help you and figure out what it is

If anyone is wondering, she passed away shortly after I posted this.

I'm sorry to hear that. What was her diet? What bedding? We need to keep this from happening again.

The bedding was wheat hull, and the diet consists of standard chick food recommended by the poultry personnel.
