I was talking to my little red star and letting her peck some crumbles from my palm and she was gobbling them up. She stopped abruptly, looked at me very panicked, and I thought she might be choking or coughing. She made the loudest barking sounds I've heard from any of my birds. She did this about 10 times and sat there and panted. I thought it must not be choking like people struggle with - no air getting through - since she was making that god-awful noise. Does anyone know what that was? Is she ok? She ran away from me. She looks ok but I am really worried. Insight please.
