Chicken comb flopped over, laid soft egg

Austra Whites are a cross of Australorps and White Leghorns.
Leghorn hens' combs are supposed to flop over. Being crossed with Australorps, they could go either way.
You'll see a lot of floppy combs on hens in the following link.

I don't worry about hen's comb position but I understand those who haven't had Mediterranean breeds may be surprised by that.
I've had a couple varieties of leghorns, anconas, minorcas and penedesencas so I don't pay that much attention to combs. I've had buttercups too but they don't flop over.

Yeah, we expected the floppy comb because we knew she definitely had some Leghorn in her. I just knew something was up when the floppy went SUPER floppy and completely limp because that’s just not how it normally is for her. In the picture I posted is her normal flop.
We were originally told these were California White’s (Darn TSC) but when they started laying, the eggs were a light brown to cream colored instead of white. They are also a bit smaller. Regardless though, we’re happy with our sweet, healthy little hens
