Hi,
I got a 6 month chicken with a weird comb since 45 days now.. I was not woring at first, It was just a small weird thing.
But now I think it's a real disease cause all my hens got those dry tiny spots on their combs, at different stages.
And I guess all of them may finish with a black comb like the first one.
The 4 hens seems fine most of the time so far. Got 2-3 eggs every days.
The grey hen just got some difficulty to breath at night during rain weather. But looking good at days..
I'm not sure it can be related. Cause other ones looks perfect.

I went to the veterinarian 1 month ago, and looking for answer everywhere else since.
Does anyone know what kind of disease it can be?
Internal or external problem?

Welcome To BYC!

Isn't she interesting!
That is just her coloring - I'm not a genetics person, so can't tell you the cause - but the coloring is like Mulberry - it's just the color that she's going to be - it may even deepen as she gets older.
Good news though - it's not a disease - I think she's lovely:)

Now - if you really want to know - @Pyxis @nicalandia may be able to tell you the "whys" or the genetics about mulberry/dark pigmentation of the skin, comb, wattles, etc.

I don't know if you can see it or not - but my American Gamefowl hen has some Mulberry coloring on her face/comb/wattles. It's just the lines that she came from.
