Anyone ever recorded their chickens ‘talking to each other’? I did, and decided to play it back to them, they looked pretty confused!

He is a cute boy. :hmm No really we think they are all boy until proven innocent. :p Lavender Ameraucana or something else?

It's so much fun to see some of the conversations that take place with the chickens! They are some real characters. :love

I note feather damage consistent with external parasites as seen on another one of your chicks... when you get a chance to look into it.

If you want to upload a video, you can use you tube or vimeo and the button that looks like old school film next to the mountain (picture) button on the text editor. :pop

Really? I do keep checking for mites under the wings but I can’t see anything. Don’t know what to do about it. And Splash Jersey Giant. :)

And Splash Jersey Giant.
Take back my boy comment then, at least for now. :clapHow old? Even though I don't see a full on beard... it looks like fluffier cheeks than I'm use to seeing on non bearded breeds.

Have you checked under the vent and are you doing so after dark with a flash light? Some mites are microscopic and will NEVER be seen, only their evidence. While other don't live on the birds and only come out to feed on them. I'm not good enough to see the difference between lice verses mite damage off the top of my head. I am facing red mites... which don't live on the birds.

Whether you can see them or not... I see the evidence (no ugliness intended here). I personally would treat... but you could start another thread about it, post pics of several different birds and get other opinions than mine... My eyes curse me with a serious attention to detail. :barnie
