chicken coop boxes need ideas

i am just wondering if eny one can help me with some nesting box idea

In the past i have used old milk crates and i have seen several posts on here of people using 5 galon buckets with a lid that has been cut out with enough of the lid at the bottom to hold everything in. or ya could get some scrap plywood and build one

Just before my chickens started laying, a friend of ours built me a double nest box... it was beautiful! Apparently the chickens weren't impressed as they chose to use the covered cat litter box I had in their coop! I've seen posts with people using 5 gallon buckets, large cat little pails, storage bins, old tires, etc. Pretty much, if it's boxlike and has straw or shavings my chickens will use it. Oh, and yes, I've found as many as 3 at a time crammed into a 12" x 14" box even when there was a vacant box right alongside. Go figure!

Mine stick out of the coop wall and have a door so that we can gather the eggs from the outside.

I love it.
