Chicken coop build advice for roof

Insulation under metal roof can be good to avoid condensation issues...
....and to deter summer heat gain if in the sun.

Will the panels not overhang the rafters an inch or two? I don't see a need for a drip edge if they do overhang, but if they are flush with the wood then a drip edge would be a good idea.

If by drip edge you mean a rain gutter, there is one added advantage to having one; it turns your roof into a rainwater collector.

A drip edge is not a gutter.

I have zero condensation issues with the metal roof on my coop and I live in a quite humid climate. Heat gain? Hot outside is hot inside here so I don't worry about it. If the coop roof was painted instead of silvery galvanized I might.

I looked at that, and they also had some clear. I thought that would be decent to use, but they only had a couple of the clear and then a couple white cloudy kind.

I put two of the clear sheets in the middle of my roof to allow more light.
