Seen one at Rural King yesterday and told the perspective buyers that the coop would hold 2 chickens not 6. Really annoyed the manager but I’d rather people be properly informed haha.

, I do too, but I refuse to make one just to go in the coop... mine's a roo who tried attacking me one to many times, I can not for the life of me figure out how they come up with the numbers that the coop can hold, unless they are including mid-air. I've had as many as 5 chickens stuffed in the TSC coop and they were stuffed, it was the roo who now resides in my freezer and 4 of my sexlinks. They did this after I locked them out of the old coop, I thought they'd go get in the new and improved one.. nope, Billy Bob and some of the girls stuffed themselves in the TSC and the others perched on the pool stairs we have out in the run for them, ended up having to hand carry

Lets look at that big coop for $1099.

The henhouse floor space (remember, don't include nesting area which in this case is outside of the henhouse floor area anyway) is 2.95ft X 2.66ft which gives you roughly 7.85square feet. You might squeeze 2 standard chickens OR 3-4 bantys. That's a lot of money for a prefab lie.
