Chicken coop condo design 100 percent predator proof

14 gauge is how big the wire is. The higher the number the smaller the wire. The wire you have the link to has larger size squares, they're 2 inches by 4. Anyway I am looking into this, its driving me nuts. No one else around here had the mesh with the smaller size holes. Good greif, I wish I still had the label, I may be going back to OSH and asking a few questions. Mine is pretty heavy duty but still. Thanks!

I paid $225 for 1/2in. hardware cloth, 48 inx100ft. I'm not sure about the gauge, but 19 seems to stick in my head. I bought it at Ace hardware. It was the cheapest I could find. I looked at that link from Lowe's and that is 2x4in., those are pretty big holes. It's the 1/2in. smaller size that is costly.

Thats what Im thinking too. The bigger holes are a lot cheaper, but I dont want ANYTHING getting into my coop. The way I have it now, not even a mouse can get in. The price you paid for yours sounds about right. Actually the last time I got this roll I got it a little cheaper, but not by much. You never plan on spending so much money but thats just the way it is! My house is falling apart so Im building the Holiday Inn for my chickens.....

oh gosh you had me laughing! we just moved into our home 2 years ago and still have unpainted & un-finished rooms but the chickens are cozy!! thus far ive only spent about $300 for all the lumber and wire but somewhere in those trips my fiance snuck in a ceiling fan and paint for the kitchen!! sneaky guy!! the other day he was joking about how much ive put into the coop vs. the home OH WELL!

Oh huh, I didn't notice that the link has different size holes. The fencing that I got is 1x3, I'm sure.
