Chicken coop height

Help! We are in the process of building our coop/chicken run. How high off the ground should the coop be so the chickens can still use that space to walk under so it’s not wasted space?

2 ft. Make sure you can access all parts of that space for cleaning.

Ours is 3 feet up but I’m making the area under it into a dust bath area for them. New to chickens so we will see how it actually works once I get some usage out of it

Our raised coop is 24" of the ground. We don't clean under it. It is just deep bedding. But, consider you will have to go under from time to time. Why, to get a sick bird, rescue the occasional misplaced egg. So access can be a challenge . Consider removable sides to allow access from all sides.
