We just insulated it. so I don't think there is any mold or anything like that.

My no1 tip for keeping chickens happy.

Use straw in their run.
It makes cleaning easy. Just rake it up when you need to and put fresh down. Don't spread it around when you put it down. Just leave it in a pile and let them do the rest. They love rooting through it. When they're done spreading it around toss some corn in amongst the straw as a treat (daily) and they'll do it all over again.
