Hello!
I am building my first coop with an attached run.
My question is:
I've seen it recommended to use a rubberized roof coating (Blackjack #57) on the coop's floor.
Has anyone tried Flexx-bond from Home Depot? Its a lot cheaper, and budget it kind of important for me.

I know nothing about these but i put vinyl flooring remnants down.

Linoleum roll, glue that down, wood strip tack down on perimeter. easy clean out

Thanks for the fast responses!
My main concern is that I live in central Florida, and it's extremely hot and humid and rainy. Does linoleum/vinyl get brittle?

Also, I'm trying to decide what to use on the roof. It will be sloped and cover the coop and the run.

I use vinyl, single sheet, heavy duty with foam backing(paper backing stuff cracked easily when bent).
It is bent up the walls 3 to 8" and only tacked in a couple places where highest onto the walls.
No need for glue or tack strips.

Not sure if vinyl will hold up in the heat or not....

.....not sure about the Flexx-bond either, maybe ask someone who's used the Black Jack as they may have researched various roofing liquids.

Thanks everyone for all the help!
We are using tin for the roof of the coop. I plan on putting in a plywood "ceiling" to muffle most of the noise and keep them warmer in the "winter" (I live in Florida, hence the parentheses).
I am currently looking for a piece of scrap linoleum or vinyl for the floor. :-)
I appreciate all the help!

In Florida you need a TON of ventilation...all year round.
Actually everywhere, but more in hot states during the summer.

I actually did some more reading and have now decided against the "ceiling". I'm just going to put hardware cloth over the holes created by the slant in the roof for additional ventilation, in addition to the windows I'm going to put in.
Considering the fact that my chickens were completely unruffled by my dad doing target practice with a shotgun nearby, i highly doubt the noise of rain hitting the metal roof will bother them.
