Got a laugh out of this article. I think it is actually great exposure for chicken keepers but CNN is a bit behind the curve on reporting about it (this was on their main page story today in late July). The irony is with all the craziness apparently continuing- looks like us long-term chickeners better stock up a bit before another wave comes and we can't find stuff!
