Chicken coops in Missouri

you might want to keep an eye on Craigs List or even post a wanted there for a chicken coop. If you don't want to build it yourself, and you can't find anyone to build it for you, you could always buy a pre-built shed from Lowes or some other barn building company near you. With a shed, you can just convert it to fit your needs. I know we have a ton of barn builders right around us- they advertise in our county cooperative magazine. If you check with your local CoOp or farm store or even your County Extension Office, they might be able to direct you to a barn builder that does coops, too. Or at least, a builder that would make something to your specifications. Our builders here are actually very reasonable, so it's worth checking it out. But I doubt you're going to find a company that exclusively builds coops and that's all they do. My guess would be a barn builder.

Thank you for the replies. I was thinking a garden shed would be a good idea. That's what we used at our last house and the chickens loved it. I was just curious to see if anything else was out there.

Howdy from st. louis as well. I didnt have much luck on finding ones ready made and did see some on CL but they were over priced. I know some carpenters but decided on building my own. What are you looking for and I may be able to point you on the right direction.
