our serama Nugget was getting better until she took the screen off her box when we were on vacation and drowned in the toilet. Our family is so sad, we have a grave for her and my daughter cried so hard for days. :( Our rooster serama had drowned too, and now our last hen is so lonely, and when we try to put her with the big chickens in the coop, they peck out her feathers. We have to put a mirror in there so she'll think it's another chicken. 😥 please pray for us. We are getting 5 more seramas, but nothing will ever be like our Nugget. Anyone who has Seramas, pictures of them would be encouraging!

You left your chicken in a box in your bathroom while you went on vacation?
you don't understand. She had gotten attacked by a raccoon while we were transitioning the seramas into the coop and she had to be separated and the only place we had was the bathroom. her scars weren't fully healed yet. We never thought this would happen. I know it sounds funny she was in the bathroom, but that's why she was in there.

Thanks for explaining. It did sound strange. I'm sorry she died. Use this as a learning experience to not use that same set up again.

thanks for the support. :)

When I was a kid I had a parakeet who escaped from her cage and I found her dead in the toilet. I was devastated beyond coherent thought. I never imagined in my young life that a parakeet would fly in a toilet. Though time eventually softened the pain it was definitely an experience I never forgot. And it might be the reason that I want to take care of animals. Truly sorry for your loss and prayers to get your family through this.

thank you, that was so sweet, and I'm glad someone actually knows what it feels like. :)
