Hey y'all sorry for bothering yall this late but can I ask a question? I was walking through the hallway of our house and I have a hen in my room for the time being and she came out of the room and my bantam rooster saw here and went straight for her and he got on here well I had the broom in my hand and it slipped and hit him while he was on her well the hen moved and he got off of here and flopping around and acting like he had a seizure and I tried to same him the best I could but I took him in the room that my mom was in and he was turning blue in the face but here's my question could've he died because he was having a seizure or died because I hit him with the broom I didn't hit him in the right place for him to die and I didn't mean to hit him I was going to get him off of here and when he was flopping around he had his eyes open

You snapped his neck and killed him. Bad time to slip. A chicken won't have a seizure as a result of being hit with a broom. I snapped a hen's neck one time when I was 8 by throwing a stick at her. Felt pretty bad, I got impatient because she escaped and I could not catch her. Also chased one into a dog kennel once when I was trying to corner her to catch her. Mistakes happen.

Here's the thing it didn't land on his neck

Here's the thing, you hit a small chicken with a broom and it died immediately afterwards, when that happens it is pretty logical to assume it was a death by broom. A bantam rooster is small enough to crush with a decent smack, you could have easily crushed his rib cage and filled his lungs with blood.

Something similar happened to me but I was outside feeding my chickens and a rooster attacked me from behind and i swung the plastic cup I had in my hand and I guess it hit him on the head and he started flopping all over the place. He then stopped and I thought he had died. Left him alone for a bit and felt really bad, but then all of sudden he got back up and started yelling as he was frightened. I don't know what you would call it, but that's what my experience was.

I have had a similar thing happen, nailed one with a tennessee ball while playing catch. Caught him right on the comb and I thought I had killed him but he took control of himself again in a few seconds.

That's what happened here I didn't hit him in the neck but the broom just hit him just to teach him a lesson and he got off the hen flopping around kicking and everything
