Chicken disappearing at night then re-appearing in morning??

I have a young hen who has always gone in the coop at night but for the last two nights has not been in there when I locked them up and is nowhere to be seen but this morning was waiting outside the coop for her food! I cannot find her anywhere but we have a big garden with lots of bushes/ trees. Is it normal for pet chickens to go off and roost elsewhere? She is a bit of an outsider in the group of 4 and is not laying yet so maybe she doesn't like sleeping with them anymore. Will watch and see where she goes tomorrow. Obviously worried about foxes in the night but I cannot find her tonight!

She's probably roosting up in a tree. Should be safe from foxes, but not from raccoons or other climbers.

She sounds like my ex. Lol jk but seriously I have one who is a loner and is happy that way. Nobody bothers her and she minds her own business.

I have a couple who are loners. One of them starting roosting on a shelf in the area where we park our cars. We just kept bringing her back to the coop at night and she's sleeping in there again, but who knows how long that will last. If you do find where she's going, wait until it's almost dark and then it should be easier to catch her and move her back.
