Chicken diseases and pests that spread to other livestock.

Just wondering if there were any that tend to be a danger to horses specificly... Thanks in advance!

I can't think of any. Best bet is to keep good habits about clean water, food, and area as free of poop as you can and that will help them all stay healthy.

I'm not aware of any that transfer to horses but I agree with Caroline about keeping things as clean as possible on the poultry side and visa versa. Of course, I keep my quail and other gamebirds apart from my chickens.

Nothing that spreads that I know of, but if you ever use amprolium or feed medicated chick start, keep it away from your horses.
