I’d personally keep him in until the outer hole is closed simply to avoid dirt and germs getting it inside and causing even more problems by increased risk of infection.

How is the weather where you live?

Do you live somewhere warm-ish?

If so then you could probably do it incrementally over the course of a few nice days. A few hours outside the first day, longer the next, maybe all day on day three.
Im always cautious.

If it’s warm just 1-2 days.

Oh! Also the flock might not be too welcoming at first so be sure to be out there as a referee.

A good practice is a dog crate or someway of separating them with a barrier that they can see each other through.

Okay. Sorry @Eggcessive, that piece of info puts a different spin on my answer then.
Also just to clarify: the photos of the feet in the “other thread” Are NOT the actual feet of this op’s roosters feet. Is that correct? they are for comparison?
We have not seen actual pictures of the feet other than the glimpse here in post #40 of THIS thread.

I’m revising my reply to @ejtrout31 to be:
In my opinion, This chicken will need to stay indoors under care for the duration of healing from BOTH of his medical conditions. He shouldn’t go outside in the cold until he’s recovered.
