He definitely is not giving up he moves around as much as he can. I don’t think he is getting infected. It’s hi leg joint that he doesn’t want to bend. I think it’s just that he is in a pen all day unless I let him out to stretch. He drinks more than he eats. It looks like the outer layer of skin is closing.

Can you add a lot of water to his chicken feed to make it like oatmeal or mush? That will get more food and water into him, but just mix enough that he will eat in one day. Cooked egg, tuna, or ground meat are other good hig protein foods that he might take, but just add a little water. Can he stand up in his pen?
