i have two chickens who love to fight, I had a hen go broody in late may she was separated the whole time, her chicks hatched on the 19th of June and she was separated for an additional week so her chicks could get strong. Then I put her in a pen next to the other chickens to re introduce her to the flock when I finally put her back with the others she got into a few fights she won all except one that was with another broody hen. She's not the problem, I have another hen who just keeps getting in fights with the original broody hen neither of them submitted to one another they just keep fighting. I did the whole separate then slowly reintroduce them back but they still fought all the time. Some other info the broody hen was top hen until she went broody then lost to the other broody, but now she's 2nd to top. The other hen she's fairly low on the pecking order and I found it odd that she would challenge some one so high up, but she did. Their breeds the broody one is a Black Australorp and the other hen is a Black Sexlink.

I generally let them fight it out, otherwise it will never be done, but maybe eventually this way they will work it out.
