chicken drownings?

has anyone ever had a problem with their chickens falling in their duck ponds or drowning in some kind of water. mine unfortunately did but it wasn't deep and she was able to stand so im not sure what happened but how likely is it that she jumped in??? anyone?

I'm sorry for your loss. The only ones we've lost to drowning have been chicks.

I noticed in your signature you have ducks, male ducks will drag hens to water and drown them trying to mate with them. (just a thought)

really? i havent thought of that. i know my one duck is a female but the other one is still questionable.... so i hope that is not what happened.... .:'(
