]Hello! I am a new chicken an duck owner. Had my ladies for right at a year now. So far has been so good. But, one of my ladies has some ear craziness going on. I took her to the vet and she said that she thought it was nothing and would go away. Here we are 2 weeks later and now the other ear is starting to do the same thing:( I really think that it is an ear infection, but Can't continually take her to the vet to be sent on my way. Does anybody have any advice as far as treatment goes? I have read about the peroxide an water with the neosporin, do I have to have a prescription for antibiotics? Also, and ideas on isolation her while on antibiotics? Thanks for any advice... I have a picture of her ear will post it soon.

Welcome to BYC!

X2 on posting in the emergency section. Sometimes they do get ear infections and it can kill them. I have never dealt with this issue, so I can't give you any advise.

Good luck with your bird and I hope she makes a full recovery.

Glad you joined us! X3 on the Emergencies section, someone there should be able to advice you. Good luck with her!

Thank you for the welcomes! I am pretty tech illiterate, so I am going to have to figure out how all this works.
