chicken eaters

we have alot of skunks around our house and alot of people say that they eat chickens and some say they don't. if anyone has any info i would be happy to hear it.

From my experiences, skunks would rather eat eggs. Next on thelist would be young chicks, because they do not like to pursue their food. I guess getting a chicken off the roost is a possibility, but I have not had that happen to date.

Skunks will eat chickens the best thing to do is put meat, honey buns, or sardines(that works really well) into a trap. The skunk will try to get it and get cought. It will work on any trap. Unless you want to poision it.

and put a sack or blanket over the trap before you set it, much better than trying to toss one over it after there is a PO'd skunk in there.
