I do. I am aware that new layers tend to have small eggs. This has been going on for a couple weeks now. normally I have one or two small ones then they lay normal sized ones. All but 1 of my hens are orpington

It will be awhile before you get normal size eggs, It took two-three months for mine to lay up to snuff.

I have a silkie rooster that I think has "fertilized" my orpington hen. The reason I think so is the orpington eggs are quite small. Can anyone tell me if this has happened to them? Oh...I have no silkie hens.
