Chicken egg question

Hi all. Our wonderful chickens are starting to lay eggs!! We are so excited. Here is my question. I was told not to eat the first eggs layed, because they tend to have malformations. I have never heard this before. Thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with eating your pullets' first eggs. Even if there are a few miss-formations within the egg, nothing should prevent you from eating them.

personally, i use the broken / malformed / soft shell eggs to feed back to them and keep the nicer eggs for eating.
