chicken duh! god made the animals so of course the chicken came first! he made the birds in the sky or more than likely the birds not in the sky as well! he didnt make eggs he made the birds! duh! sorry about the christian view!

it depends on how your asking it. if you are talking about the beginning of times. If your religious. God made the chickens. chickens made the eggs. If your non-religious. the dinosaurs which ruled all laid eggs and eventually evolved into little midgets with feathers that are eaten by almost everything. which would mean the egg came first. if your talking about nowadays.. Well are you asking if the chicken came before the egg (laid the egg ) OR are you asking if they chicken hatched out of the egg or not? (the egg came first)
