A few months back I realized I had a love of chickens. I opened up a free issue of Organic Gardening that I received and found the most adorable pictures of chickens. How confusing... aren't all chickens supposed to be white? Maybe a red rooster thrown in for color? Apparently not, because the photography and the subjects were amazing and I was drawn in!! Who knew there were so many varieties!!
Ever since I have been reading everything I can on chickens, coops, and I found BYC referenced in a magazine and here I am. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and can't have chickens, so I'm suffering from chicken envy and am waiting impatiently for the day I can have my own! In the meantime I'm trying to convince my parents to get some so I can live vicariously through them.
