Chicken eye injury

My chicken was just hit in the face with a mouse traps. It hurt her eye. She won't open it. It doesn't seem to be bloody or anything. She won't move or drink or eat. When I can get her to open her eye, it is only for a bit and it is real red. I have her quarantined from my other hens. Is there anything else I can do?
I feel horrible for not moving the traps before I let them out of the coop.

Nothing you can do at this point, just let her rest, it will heal up, chickens are good at it.

This just happened to me. I feel really bad too. Did you treat it? Did she recover.

Mine did..but she did get a very bad infection from it. She’s fully recovered now but lost function in that eye. I have a thread on it here. Just watch the injury (and the overall behavior of the bird as well) for signs of infection.
