On the morning of 12/29 I went out to my chicken run to see one of my girls falling over when walking. I immediately separated her and put her in a crate in the garage.
She is almost 9 months old and she’s a Rainbow chicken aka Dixie Rainbow. She was laying, but it’s winter here and all the chickens have slowed down anyways.

She did just start roosting on the bars with her sisters a few weeks ago. She has always slept on the floor and just started sleeping next to her sisters, so not sure if it’s a leg injury or what.

Here is a video of her on 12/29, hope this works it’s from my instagram

I checked her over. No mites or bugs in her poop. No bumble foot. I have felt around both her legs and she hasn’t reacted to me feeling around them at all.

I gave her water with rooster booster Vitamin B in it. She has her regular feed. And I’ll occasionally give her a scrambled egg since she’s been locked up.

Her poops do have a little bit of grain in them, but they aren’t bright green or anything just brown. Her legs are not splayed or turned in and when I pick her up she’ll wrap her feet around my fingers.

Any ideas what it may be?

Here is a video of her from yesterday.

No poultry vets in the area and no other chickens and exhibiting any symptoms or issues

Can you get pictures of her legs and feet tomorrow? It looks like her right leg is collapsing as she puts weight on it. Do her toes curl under? Make sure the vitamins have riboflavin B2 listed on the label. B complex tablets have all b’s. Hopefully with some rest, she will get better. I would not let her jump up or down, or run.

Yes! I can do that. Should I lift up her feathers on her legs to get a picture? Her feet are fine flat on the ground they don’t curl or splay. When I do pick her up, she will curl them around my fingers. I was thinking about getting some b complex tablets tomorrow to crush them up to give to her. And by right leg do you mean her right when I’m looking at the rear of her butt or other right LOL? Thank you and I’ll reply with pictures tomorrow!
