Chicken farm??

Some places to look up for information;
-State department of agriculture
-Local zoning board
-Agriculture extension of state University
-USDA
- local chamber of commerce
- any existing farms. If they're willing to talk.
- state tax department
There are others. Most can probably be reached by website or email.
Limited Poultry and Egg Farms are small farm operations limited to up to 1,000 laying hens annually for production and sale of shell eggs and/or up to 20,000 poultry annually for the production and sale of dressed poultry..... That is one of the business options but im not sure exactly why they limit to selling 20k chickens a year??? Unless I'm misunderstanding

Not sure. I don't know specifically about livestock based business. What is the source for that information? The source may lead you to an answer. The term"limited" probably has something to do with the type of license or certificate issued.

That's the department of agriculture for Florida

But that's all it had to say about it...

Ditto Dat^^^

@Ragna would you explain what you mean by these terms?
Kinda at a stand still without knowing that huh?
Curious also because you would think if your parents run some kind of chicken operation you would have all the info or at least where to get the info from them.

A chicken shop, slaughter house. They sell live and slaughter animals. They are different. Limited poultry and egg operations can't sell to slaughter houses if I'm not mistaken. You'd need to be a business agricultural zoned area. I want a farm. A chicken farm is a place where you breed and sell chickens or their eggs. I called the county and asked them some stuff about field so Ive been getting answets

And just to clarify again, a chicken farm is a place where you raise and sell chickens or their eggs.
