I love raising chickens. I am with my second batch. Learning new things all the time and want to learn more. I have Easter Eggers this time around. Love them!!! They are a timid bunch though. I need help with figuring out why they are timid and help them learn not to be timid. My last batch was NH Reds and they were friendly and came right up to us. But they got mean with each other and I had all kinds of hardships with them. So I want this batch to have a better experience. Any suggestions of guidance would be greatly appreciated. We have land were we grow fruits and veggies and our chickens. We are expanding by adding bees this year.

It's been my experience that the way to a chicken's heart is through it's stomach...once they associate you with food, they should warm up. Not every chicken will want to be a lap sitter, but you'll find some that become human-friendly.

Enjoy your flock and thanks for joining us!
