Chicken farming

Well, I don't live in Canada....was more curious and it's something that @AidKD should think about.
I understand. If they are planning a whole farming project, I'm sure that has crossed their mind. I've raised meat birds for the past 3 years for myself, this year was the first year we raised more than we needed personally, and they were literally 'gone' before they even got to the freezer at home. We have them professionally processed and they are returned to us frozen. I have considered doing it on a larger scale next year if it proves profitable and I can let you know what I find out regarding laws and ordinances.

I make more money from the plants I grow in the compost I get from chicken bedding and manure than I ever made selling chicken/eggs/meat. I doubt I would break even if I tried a chicken business. Good thing about landscaping plants is that its unregulated. But if you did that as a money maker its much cheaper to buy Manure to compost than it is to raise chickens for it. I do it for the sake of knowing how to produce my own food.

It would all be under the table.
