Chicken Farts ?

Do the chickens seem to sense the heat from the peppers? Are we feeding them fresh chilies or dried, ground store pepper? I didn't know they could eat hot peppers. I guess there's no reason why not. We grow jalapenos and Cayenne here in the Gulf Coast region of Texas (South East/Houston area). I heard that lentils and split peas were good supplements to the grain feed but I have been wondering about those being dried or cooked too. I believe they are recommending dried split peas and lentils. I'm not quite on board with that so I'm cooking pintos as we speak and I have been tossing out frozen English and Black eyed peas All year. Do you know if anyone feeds DRIED lentils to chickens?

I got a song here called Toot Coop Boogie

Are we all still Tootin' in the Coop these days? Now that the days are getting warmer, the Toots should blend in with all the other smells.
