Chicken Feed Costs

Hey, that stuff is beautiful when it is bloomed out hanging in trees, though. The road I used to live on had it everywhere and it was nice looking. I did hear recently that it can actually kill trees etc.. as it will tend to strangle them. Is this true? I have only saw it high in trees. Does it also grow on lower lying things?

FIFY

Growing in low and/or unwanted places? YES! I can't get rid of it. Cows like it. I used to have a couple cows behind me....at least I could toss it over the fence then.

I think I know why it’s costing more. I did some research and chickens are at their top egg production around 30 weeks of age. So my chickens would have eaten more regardless of free ranging because they would naturally be producing more eggs anyways at least for the RIRs. Hopefully I’ll see a dent in savings when Spring is in full force.
And they are bigger than at 16 weeks so they eat more
