Chicken feed from WalMart???

In Asheboro, NC they sell chicken feed and rabbit feed at the grocery stores. Pretty good price on rabbit feed. Their chicken feed is a little high but occasionaly I will pick up a bag if needed.

Our Walmart does not carry chicken feed. If they did I doubt I would buy it from them. I would rather spend my money at the local mom and pop farm store even if I have to pay a few cents more. I sell chicks to the farm store anyway in the Spring.

Darin115 I am with you.
Nothing against the big guys but they get enough of my money anyway. I will support the mom and pop shops any day before I buy feed from Walmart, and to be honest with you, I don't even like to by from TSC because of that reason.
Support the little guy is my motto, so long as the product is good.
..and why is there molasses in the feed? Have we not already "screwed up" enough kids on sweetend stuff, we now also do it to our chickens? No thanks..
Molasses is kind of pricey why not high fructose corn syrup, it is cheap and abundant. It is good enough for humans...right?? or so they want you to think..just watch we ar going to have diabetes added to chicken ailments before it is done.
Sorry about the rant..

Yesterday, I found a WalMart that had chicken food. It was like 25 miles away from me, in Cooper City. I bought a bag of egg maker, @$10.40 for 40lbs. Their scratch was like I think $8 something. Now, the only feed store we really have is like maybe 4 miles closer than that WalMart is, and thats in the town of Davie. I asked the guy why that is, and he said its because of where they are located, they are considered "horse county" out there. So, I imagine, it really goes by locale. Where I live, is definately city, for sure!
