I asked for chicken feed and I think they sold me scratch...what is the difference? I'm new to all this and don't want to hurt the poor things...HELP!!!!!

Scratch is going to be mostly cracked corn, millet etc.
You may also have crumbles or pellets...
Got a picture of your food or what does the bag say?

If you are talking day old peeps, you need chick starter. It will tell you what it is with the tag attached to the bag, or on the back of the bag.
If your peeps weren't vaccinated you should buy medicated chick starter.
If they were vaccinated, or you don't know, then it's best to buy regular chick starter.
Scratch will look like grains(that's what it is) and should not be fed to chicks less than 8 weeks old or older, is better.
