A neighbor paid me to clean up all the acorns in her yard, it's a very small yard with one very large white oak. I have never seen so many nuts come from one tree. I hauled 3 cubic yards of nuts from just that one small yard. They were sprouting and loaded with worms and my chickens and pigs loved them, they got feed for the week.

Yes not only very cheap feed but I got paid to load then in my truck and feed my animals. I shoveled all the SPROUTED ACORNS with a side of WORMS into the chicken yard and when they were done I shoveled them into the pig yard. From a pile [a big pile] on the ground headed for the landfill to getting picked over by the chickens to being cleaned up by the pigs. NOW THAT IS RECYCLING, plus the poop finds it's way into my GARDEN and ORCHARD AND i GOT PAID ENOUGH TO BUY 10 BAGS OF CHICKEN FEED. What could be better.

Well with 30 Rhode Island reds and a couple of Black Copper Marans I already have the EGGS and I have BACON curing from 2 pigs that my son and I butchered last week. I think I might have MINE with some BACK BACON that I am also curing. I did my bacon differently this year, I rolled it and tied it and I will soon see how that works.
