⠀ Chicken feed

Apart from layers pellets what else should I feed my chickens? They have no grass (all eaten!!) so I thought about giving them vegetables/fruit?

They'll appreciate any scraps as a treat, just make sure no avocado or potatoes. (They can live off of layers feed, but it's easy to see what makes them happy). You can even throw in some weeds, like Lamb's Quarter or dandelions. Mine are munching on watermelon rine right now.

Scrambled eggs can be mixed with their feed. I also add meal worms, Cheerios, and cracked corn to get them excited and fatten them up quick. Old deli meat is great too--they love meat, even chicken.

I have been feeding her scrambled eggs with banana, smells disgusting but she seems to like it! She also loves mealworms but in the UK they are so expensive! Might try feeding her some meat later. Thank you!
