Chicken FEET?!?!

Hi guys....

A neighbor of mine asked me to save my chicken feet and heads after Freezer Camp so she can feed them to her dog... says they are good for arthritis...

She also said the feet sell for up to $4/pair at the local auction....

Have any of you heard this??? What do you do with your feet after butchering?? ((Besides throw them out...))

I've never heard of this. Some people use them in their stocks, but I throw them out.

People buy them for use in soup stock.

Scald them and peel the tough (dirty) outer layer.

Still used in soup stock in Latin America.

I peel them, cut the toe nails off and freeze them. Then the next time that I make stock I'll put one or two in the pot. Or I'll give one to my dog as a treat. Two of my doggies aren't interested, but the other one LOVES them. I will admit, it's pretty weird seeing a bag of chicken feet in the freezer. LOL
