Hi guys,
One of my brown shavers was up in a tree, but somehow slipped and fell onto the grass. I think she landed on her head and rolled a few times. She is now limp and very sleepy. She cant get up simple ledges and when getting down from them, she spreads her wings and lands on them? Like how a dog would land on 4 legs, ahe is using her wings as an extra set of les. Whenever i put her down, she doesnt walk at all, and when she attempts to, it is wobbly and probably only about 2 tiny steps.
No physical injuries I can see at the moment. She also has a very slow heartbeat, like once every 2 seconds??

i have placed her into the coop and will be checking on her tomorrow morning, there is no way she will be able to get out I am certain. She is far too dizzy, almost like a human concussion??????

any thoughts? I am very worried

thank you all so much!!!

If a vet is possible, an xray could rule out broken bones. She could have severe internal organ damage or bleeding, but hard to know exactly. Air sacs can rupture and cause a balloon of air just under the skin. Do you feel anything like that around her sides, belly, or neck? Are there any wounds? Have you been able to get her to drink some fluids or electrolytes from a lid or cup up to her beak? I would keep her warm, separated, in a quiet place. Mix a small bowl of chicken feed and water and scrambled egg, and offer it every couple of hours. Hopefully, she will make it, but time will tell.
