Hi!

I noticed that a lot of people have wolf RPs. I thought it could be fun to have a chicken one. After all, the website is Backyard CHICKENS. Come up with your bird (please no more than two fun-grown hens per member. Every dozen hens, we can add another rooster). You are welcome to have chicks if you like, or even a full family. We are living on a large farm, so all chickens are welcome.

Name: Leola
Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Breed: Ameraucana (or Easter Egger...)
Description: White overall, with soft fawn/reddish feathers on wings and front.
Personality: Leola is very flock-oriented, and enjoys spending time with the other hens. She is gentle and laid-back, and so can be counted on to be kind to chicks and younger birds. Whenever a squabble or disagreement occurs, she tries to act as peacemaker. She lays a small, pale green egg, has never been broody, and actually flies fairly well. Overall a model backyard chicken, beloved by both the other hens and the keeper(s?) alike.
Favorite Hen/Roo: None yet.
Chicks (if hen): None

Name:
Age: 4weeks
Gender: female
Breed: polish bantam

Name: Aysel
Age: 5 months
Gender: Female
Breed: Sultan
Description: Pure white Sultan pullet.
Personality: Aysel certainly takes quite a bit of pride in her appearance, and never lets anyone touch her fluffy crest or ruffle her (still growing) feathers. She may be young, but Aysel is feisty. She is always determined to get what she wants, whether it's the best place on the roosting bar, or the most mealworms.
Favorite Hen/Roo: Will decide once more people join the role play.
Chicks (if hen): None

Other: Aysel has not begun laying yet, and has no desire to (despite the fact that it is inevitable.) In fact, she scoffs at the idea, believing it is silly to waste time sitting in a dark nest box when one could be spending quality time outdoors.

I have created a plot idea, since there are none so far, but it would have to be approved by the OP:

It had been a week since the coyote had first investigated the coop. He had come in the dead of night, hungry, eager to get his paws on any living creature small enough to take down. Fortunately for the flock, their coop was completely predator-proof, and the coyote, try as he might, could not get in. He vowed, however, that he would not give up, and a few days later, he rashly returned during mid-day.

The flock always free ranged during the day, and this time the coyote would have gotten his supper, had the keeper not suddenly spied the sneaky predator through the kitchen window and come running to shoo him off.

Now, the flock was grateful to their keeper for deterring their biggest enemy, but they loved free ranging and absolutely despised being confined to the run. So when they heard the keeper speaking of having to lock them up for safety, they grew quite worried.

The roosters of the flock planned a Flock-wide Meeting to discuss the problem:

Despite our sharp beaks, shiny tails, and long talons, every one of us is deathly afraid of that coyote. However, we are absolutely determined
to keep free ranging. The topic of discussion today is this: how can we convince our keeper that we don't have to be shut up in the run all day, while at the same time protecting ourselves? We need a solution before our keeper--or the coyote, for that matter--makes any moves.

This is my plan for a plot, please let me know if it sounds good and can be approved or disapproved. The time of the above meeting would be decided by the Thread Starter, preferably after more role players have joined. If this idea is approved, it would be helpful for people to give information about their character's viewpoint on the coyote/free range dilemma. Thank you!
