Chicken food

What do you feed your chickens? I find that no matter what layer pellets we use they shovel it out all over the coop. They love salad but I don’t think it’s good all the time. Hard to please chickens.

I use crumbles... I have a picky flock and they don't eat pellets so I have to feed them crumble.
I use a PVC feeder I made to help reduce waste but they still do get it onto the ground. I also won't jump to refill the feeder until they clean up a little... but I don't wait a long time to refill, if the feeder has a little in it and I know they will have it emptied by mid morning, I won't refill the feeder until late afternoon.

I feed my birds Manna Pro, Naturewise pellets, & they love them.
TSC ran out 2 days ago so I had to settle with Dumor All Flock pellets.

I want to try what works for others. There aren’t bugs this time if the year to supplement food so they count in me. And they’re just so picky!!

I've dealt with picky birds. So, I understand.

What do you feed your chickens?

I feed crumbles, a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower or an All-Flock feed. 18 to 20% Protein.
My hens and pullets like both the Nutrina Naturewise and Purina feeds.
I offer Oyster Shells separately for the needed calcium.

No. Two reasons, 17% Protein and it's pellets. GC

i have not. We’ve been spending top dollar on non gmo but they shovel out more than they eat.
