chicken food

What city do you live in? Perhaps I can help you find a store that DOES sell chicken feed, like tractor supply, even some pet stores, IF their is REALLY NO store you CAN order it online and have it shipped to YOUR house!!!! I do this for my chickens because where I live the stores do not offer a USDA certified organic feed. And I like feeding my girls all organic non soy. So what I do is go online from my cell phone or computer and place my order from a company in VA.i live in CA. They ship all the way to me in only 4 days. Shipping is NOT really that costly either and I order 50 pounds at a time. We are very fortunate to live in a age where almost NOTHING is out of our reach any more due to online shopping. So you CAN get chicken food where you live, simply order it online. It will be best for your chickens. I really hope this helps you out and solved you're problem.

I order my feed from VA. You might want to take a look at www.countrysideorganics.com. They are in VA. So shipping would be very cheap for you. All you do is go online and pick out the age appropriate feed you want for your chickens , pay, and they ship to your front door. In fact today I just received my 50 pound bag of layer feed from them. I'm in California so it takes about 4 days to arrive where I live, it would be sooner for you. They offer feed for chicks and growers and feed for layers too.this is a very good balanced feed with probotics in it. I think your chickens would love it. It's a very simple process to order it. If you don't want to order, go to your local tractor supply and you can find complete feed there. Hope this helps and hope it solves your problem. It would be easy to order it from countryside organics because you are in va.and they are in va. As well. Best wishes

We let our chickens out in a "chicken tractor" that we made out of PVC pipes and bird netting. It helps keep them in since they are bantoms. and they are very small. They usually eat a bunch of grass and worms and bugs like that. Sometimes we give them treats like spinach or microwaved oatmeal and/or fruit. We also give them oyster shells because that's supposed to help make beeter eggs.

Good to have you If they are small they can eat growers feed. Or scratch. Loads of water. You might be interested in checking out the fermented feeds threads. So good for them and you save money. Here's a quick site:
