chicken food

Can u feed chicks starter/grower 20% until they start laying

You can feed them that their entire lives - once they start laying you just need to provide calcium (commonly done with oyster shell) - many folks, myself included, feed a grower ration from the first to last day of a bird's life in their flock. For me, I like the convenience of knowing that any chicken I have will be eating an appropriate diet (whether male, female, young, old, molting, brooding or actively laying eggs at the time) and that they have a better protein content overall than what is offered by most layer rations.
