Buff Orpington has a swolen foot, not getting any better. She is 1 year old. It is the size of a perfectly round large marble. She limped around at first, but now she seems to go on as if it were normal. It has been this way for 3 weeks. I tried several time to clean it and see if I could tell what was causing it - no evidence. Such a tough calloused foot. Do I lance it to relieve the swelling or will it get infected if I open it up? If I lance it, should I on top or bottom? It is swollen in both directions.
