Chicken friendly ground cover?

Hello all,
I'd like to plant a ground cover on a hillside that is near our coop. Is there any chicken-friendly ground cover that anyone could recommend...not poisonous and yummy for them as a treat when they are out?

When I was able to free-range, mine loved any kind of flower petal, and most especially loved any that drew bugs. Maybe clover?
